Suddenly it seems that millions are interested in Hinduism( mostly because of dreadlocks and implied permission to utilize weed without any restriction) but they really do not know anything about it. Some hypocrites take two months off to grow a beard then talk illogical shits about Hinduism and sadly most of us actually believe those shits. Actually those hypocrites do not know anything about the philosophy, the history or the way of life which has been laid down by Hinduism... Here I am sharing a link where it is being claimed that in the east, the concept of religion did not exist 1500 years ago... Those who bear a little bit knowledge on Hinduism, know that the oldest Veda, the Rigveda was written about 1500-1000 BC, which contains the particluars of the rituals to be maintained during worship the Gods like Agni, Indra etc. Is it not religion ? It is being claimed there that Yoga is merely a way of thinking... , well, no sir ! It is not merely a way of thinking. The word Yoga means to attach (with the supreme self or with your true inner self, as according to Upanishadas, every individual is a part of the supreme energy), and there are many processes to acquire the attachment like Gyaan Yoga is the process of acquire such attachment by pure knowledge, Raja Yoga talks about mind exercises to attain the attachment whereas the Hath Yoga is the physiological aspect of Yoga. It is pretty easy to talk about universal harmony, brotherhood of human beings etc. etc. because end of the day every free-thinking person seeks and approaches for these things, but when you are dealing with one of the most complicated philosophical school called Hinduism, which by prescribing practicable methods, became science of well-being, you should be more careful.
