Sue Ross has had a chest xray every morning for the past eleven days and today was the first sign of any improvement !! Still ventilated , oxygen requirement still at 45% for sats of 94%, renal function the same , no worse, sedation turned down this morning prior to proning so she was able to communicate with blinking and shaking her head , ever so slightly !.All hands on deck to turn her prone this afternoon about 3pm and will stay like this until 9am tomorrow, no fevers, platelets still a bit low at 36 but no transfusion planned at present, nothing grown so far from the bronchial washout, so still a mystery to what else is causing the lung infection !! We are soaking up the positive bits and hoping for more improvements, Sister Mandy coming from Tamworth tomorrow to visit as well as her friend and work colleague Mandy Curran . thanks again everyone for your encouragement and kind wishes xxxx
