Sue and I took a brief run down to the Central Coast, last week, to sample and stock up on regional wines. Three days of spring-like weather (70-72 degrees), two wonderful dinners, two plus cases of favorites and one big boy to open at a summer gathering. Wineries we visited (and tasted at) included Hahn and Wrath in the Santa Lucia Range - Calcareous and Turley in Peachy Canyon/Paso Robles - and from Los Olivos CA, Bridlewood Cellars. It was a sweet little mini vacation for us in gorgeous California weather.
