Suffolk Animal Hospital Re-opens with New Ownership and Renovations Suffolk Animal Hospital would like to announce a recent change in ownership with Amber Carr DVM as the new owner. Dr. Carr has made considerable improvements to the business and property located at 1232 Holland Road. To celebrate the exciting enhancements, Suffolk Animal Hospital is holding a Ribbon Cutting-Grand Opening Ceremony on March 18, at 11 a.m. Vice Mayor Charles F. Brown will be on hand to officially welcome them to Suffolk. Additionally, Suffolk Animal Hospital is holding an Open House this week, March 17 through March 22. The public is invited to attend any of the special events during the week. Suffolk Animal Hospital provides grooming, boarding and veterinary services. The office works by appointments, but all emergencies will receive priority. They also work with nearby emergency clinics for more extensive cases and after-hours needs or pets requiring 24-hour care. Dr. Carr, a resident of Suffolk, installed more modern, up-to-date equipment and surroundings for the clinic. New computers and software, roofing, upgrades to the exam rooms, recovery cages and office re-modeling were among the updates to the business. Additional office staff was hired as well. Additional structural renovations are scheduled throughout the year. “We are so excited about these updates and the opportunity we have been granted to take care of your pets,” said Dr. Carr. “I am proud that Suffolk Animal Hospital can continue serving the community of Suffolk and surrounding areas as it has for the last 35 years.” “It shows wonderful vision and confidence for Dr. Carr and her staff to invest in restructuring Suffolk Animal Hospital,” said Suffolk Mayor Linda T. Johnson. “We are so pleased that they are introducing an improved community resource to take care of our beloved animals.” Special discounts and raffle prizes will be available during the Open House week.
