Suffrage is universal not because the very poor has the right to choose who will represent him in the government while remain fanatically obedient to a political patron. Its quite expensive to hold power and maintaining the masses from their breakfast to their supper and their medicines up to their embalming when dead. Politicians wont and will never use their own money, and what Im sure is that when they are keeping their own clients they have to rob other people of their money, status and resources for them to retain their hold of power. If this is our concept of universality of suffrage, then the patron will remain in power to bankrupt this nation and poor the already poor so they will remain obedient forever. For the moment, I cannot predict in what way this cycle of injustice will end. Peacefully or bloody?
