Suggestions/words of wisdom needed: Two nights ago, B was making an ornament for the tree. She has an accident and nearly cut the pad of her thumb off. Bled like crazy and she was hysterical. Took her to the Urgi-Care and they put ointment and a band aid on it. I think they just wanted her out of there because of her crying and huge apprehension of anyone, including me, to touch it. Yesterday, it starts bleeding at school (I find this out from B, not the school). The nurse puts another bandaid on it and sends a crying kid back to class. This morning I talked her into letting me put Vet Wrap over it for more protection. Still crying. Make her get a shower tonight and I end up getting the Vet Wrap off but not the bandaid because it started to bleed again AND child is hysterical(Im not kidding). Bottom line, it should have been stitched. My question is how in the world do I get her calmed down enough to trust me to get the bandaid off and let me get a good look at it??????
