Suicide.... I have a lot to say. I know one thing, NOBODY is better off because you kill yourself. I really believe, besides selfish motives, many who contemplate suicide, think they are doing loved ones a favor by exiting the scene. Ive thought that myself. Its hard to admit and even painful to recall those deep, dark, no hope feelings. Somehow, I just knew it would get better and it did..... Eventually. I pray that if you feel no hope youll find someone to talk to about your sorrow, problems, or issues. If you dont feel comfortable talking with people you know, call the prevention line. Please pray for those whove lost family or friends to suicide. Its tough. Heidi was my only niece. She was 28 years old when she committed suicide, alone in a hotel room. She called a friend the night before and talked about dying and heaven. She didnt tell the friend she was thinking of shooting herself. She and I had lots in common. We shared a love of animals, music, food, crazy accessories, mardi gras, and mischief. She was a lot of fun and laughed a lot. She adored both of my children. She was much more low keyed than me unless you pushed the wrong button! :) my life is forever changed because she lost hope and gave up. On Mothers Day 2012 she was pronounced dead, days after she shot herself. Her liver lives on in a forty something year old man with a family. I pray every day for him and his family.
