Suicide bomber trying to bomb a viewing centre in Jos An attempt by a killer bomber to kill football viewers at a viewing centre on Bauchi road, Jos is said to have ended in favour of the fans as the bomb detonated and killed the bomber before he got to the centre. A resident said he heard the blast. He, however said that there are two accounts of the blast. . “There are two accounts of where the explosion occurred,” he said. “Some one informed me that it happened at Race Court, around the temporary site of the University of Jos. But another person said it happened at Bauchi Ring Road. “Both locations are not far from the University of Jos. But it was so heavy that people living far away have been calling to find out where the ‘loud sound’ they heard came from.”
