Sullivan Ballou and I share a great great grandfather, Maturin Ballou, though Sullivans generation gap is smaller than mine. Maturin descended from Guinebond Belleau, a famous Norman Chieftain who was Field Marshall for William the Conqueror at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Sullivan and I share other ancestors as well.
