We are looking to add to our new team of Local Ad Agency Sales Managers at YP to help us dominate the market at lightning speed. The Local Ad Agency Sales Manager is responsible for generating local ad agency leads, contacting local ad agencies face-to-face and/or remotely for the sale and servicing of our media and advertising solutions. He/she will be responsible for coaching local sales teams in building these relationships by coaching local sales reps in a geographic region that encompasses 1-3 major metropolitan markets nationwide. The Local Ad Agency Sales Manager is a new role here at YP and it’s an exciting opportunity to join a brand new team and help it grow. YP defines “local ad agencies” as: • Full-service advertising agencies that manage media placement for advertisers; typically one office location, 1-40 employees, and focus on local SMB clients • Niche advertising agencies that operate with less than 10 people and provide primarily 1-2 primary services such as web design, email marketing, SEO, SEM, direct marketing, etc. Required qualifications • 5+ years of previous media sales experience, including 2+ years working with digital ad agencies • Significant experience selling digital products; knowledge of YP’s product suite is preferable • Full sales cycle experience (from prospecting through account maintenance) • Established relationships with local ad agencies • Demonstrated leadership driving initiatives; this is a new channel for YP and we must learn and evolve as we go in order to drive success • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Problem solver able to identify and design solutions that fit agency and clients’ needs • Ability to handle an aggressive work schedule of daily sales contacts - ability to prioritize and organize work is critical • Proficient in in developing client proposals and presentations (includes proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Personal auto used for business, liability and property damage insurance coverage • Must be able to travel for extended periods (i.e., up to 50% of the time) • Bachelor’s degree required Day-to-day responsibilities • Coach local sales reps and act as SMB on the YP offering for ad agencies and help to identify leads as for sales reps or local ad agencies • Work with local ad agencies to advise on how “YP can” • Work with local sales team in scheduling and completing local ad agency and client presentations • Develop solutions and proposals for local ad agencies • Manage, maintain and grow local ad agency business through entire sales cycle • Follow pricing policies to maximize revenue • Handle detailed paperwork for solution execution and billing • Coordinating handoffs with fulfillment groups
