Summary of Chinese steel export prices (weekly basis) World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (WSA) was 132mln tonnes in Jul 2013, an increase of 2.7% compared to Jul 2012. China’s crude steel production for July 2013 was 65.5mln tonnes, up by 6.2% compared to Jul 2012. Elsewhere in Asia, Japan produced 9.3mln tonnes of crude steel in Jul 2013, an increase of 0.5% over Jul 2012.
