Summary of my wedding with Daniel - - it took 2 dresses and 6 trips to the alteration before getting the dress correct and even then, didnt receive it until the Thursday of the wedding week. - our lighting guy apparently skipped town and all checks used to pay for his services were returned with no explanation 2 weeks before the wedding - they played the wrong video during our first dance - our trivia show got cancelled from our program due to technical difficulties - the slideshow that Dannys brother spent forever on also got booted - people switched their table numbers upon arriving to the reception which ruined the seating arrangements and left our parents with no place to sit MY TAKEAWAY: - our wedding was the most spectacular thing that ever happened. Not a single one of those hiccups (many, many of which I didnt name) put a damper on the spirit and the blessings of our marriage. The presence of the people we love the most and the marriage to the person that God has ordained for us surpasses any mistake or drama or wrong thing that went down that night. To people planning weddings: Accept that things will happen. Take in the day for what it is. The blessing is in the marriage and being surrounded by people you love, not by the music and the flowers and the pretty dress! Thank you God for everything. Thank you to our families for their support and blessing. Thank you to our friends from all over (DC, Florida, Canada, the heart of Greenville, and many other places...) I hope you each know your tremendous value in our lives. Please continue to pray for us and our marriage! Much love to everyone! Off to honeymoon š
