Summary of the day. The Central Committee Meeting chaired by Hon. Inonge Wina was first to take place. And the undersigned members who chair certain committees and others are members of the Central Committee met. The quorum was formed by the undersigned as provided for by Article 51 (2). (More than 37 out of the 53). Then the 63 MPs brought their petition fr the Central Committee to consider. The petition of support from the 63 comprised Ministers, Deputy Ministers and Members of Parliament (by the way more have since signed)here are the facts: The 63 Ministers, Deputy Ministers and MPs demanded that the Central Committee which was in Session and Chaired by Hon. Inonge Wina immediately adopt PF Secretary General Hon. Edgar Lungu as PF Presidential Candidate. The Central Committee which was legally constituted to resolve and consider this same motion , resolved and voted to adopt Mr. Lungu as the Partys Presidential Candidates.
