Summer Flashlight Walk last night on District B-3 in Mattapan’s Franklin Hill area turned out more than 50 residents! The littlest walkers packed the sidewalk, as they lead the group to an ice-cream finale! A host of officers from District B-3(Mattapan), the bicycle unit, Deputy Nora Baston, Sgt. John Johnson, Officers Jose Ruiz, Scott Roby (ice-cream servers) and Transit Chief Kenny Green walked or rode alongside community residents. The walks continue to be another example of how the BPD continues to work to strengthen the relationship with the community. Residents along the way expressed enthusiasm in the neighborhood initiative. Last night’s organizers Wallace Tillford and Aliza Rodriguez from the Neighborhood Watch Unit would like to thank everyone in attendance.
