Summer Holidays in Woomera were simply magic! My friends and I never experienced boredom and the youngsters of today would be well served to take a leaf from our book, we became explorers and adventurers. Woomera wasn’t that big yet I can look at that map and see in my minds eye an adventure play ground and we plunged head first into childhood play that developed a platform for our future lives with all of those life skills we need and for that I thank my lucky stars that I experienced Woomera as a child. We had a truly diverse multi cultural experience, yes we were in a protective bubble but that is a good thing for children. My parents took us to Port Augusta and Port Lincoln for holidays filled with sea fishing and camping. One word springs to mind “Joy”, what where your holiday experiences?
