Summer Internship Opportunity: WICN Public Radio (please do not share on Facebook) Its not a game internship, but its a good way to flesh out some of your other skills in business, marketing, and graphic design. This is a Jazz radio station. Short description: Youll likely start off answering phones and doors, and working on the weekly newsletter. Potentially based on performance, you may continue to do work updating/generating web ads and show descriptions for the website. This job has helped me land interviews for other jobs in the internet/marketing industries. Pros: -Small operation, very friendly -Flexible schedules during school -Many opportunities to volunteer, including concerts, fundraisers, and live shows -If work is acceptable, can stay on past the summer Cons: -UNPAID -Some amount of basic intern stuff like open doors, set this up, etc. Prerequisites: -No one stands over your shoulder. You MUST be able to find work for yourself and ask questions and take initiative. -Must be available all summer (if looking for housing, it may be possible to stay on campus and speak to Housing about working at the station.
