Keep reading to learn more about The Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra who will also be participating in the Summer Jam! The Nicholas Tremulis Orchestra is not your average orchestra. They are described as punk jazz, drawing on early punk music, as well as James Brown funk and the free jazz movement of Ornette Colemen. The addition of horns, blistering vocal harmonies brought in the soulful R&B groove, and caught the attention of Chris Blackwell, who in the late 80s hand picked the band for his Island Records. Produces by Rob Fraboni (The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Band, The Last Waltz), the albums also market the beginning of a 25-year collaboration and friendship with the veteran producer. Music vets and writers alike dubbed the summer 2013 release of NTOs eighth full album, For the Baby Doll, the bands magnum opus. The sound is a celebration of rock n roll itself.
