Summer Solstice Celebration - Cowichan Bay Maritime Centre June 22, 10:00 AM-3:00 PM @ 1761 Cowichan Bay Road Fun things happening at the Maritime Centre: Project Germani – Come and watch this historical reenactment group as they showcase life as lived by the Germanic tribes between 50 BC and 50 AD. Their clothing is hand sewn, their iron ware hand forged, and their woodwork handmade. Come and take a step back in time. Chuck McCandless – the Cowichan Valley’s own Banjo Man will share his music out on the Pier, generously sponsored by the Rod Cod Café and Radway Studio! Museum Tours Halcyon II tours Kids’ Boat Building Station Bubble blowing Station Enter to win! ~ Enter to win a 5.7L tub of handcrafted ice cream from Morning Mist Ice Cream Parlour with a donation to the Maritime Centre! Free of charge! Donations accepted. Activities around the Village: Cowichan Bay Kayaks ~ Normal tours and lessons offered, as well as running their "Full Moon Kayak Tour". These are 2Hr tours that depart at 8:30pm (pre-booking required – contact the kayak shop directly). Cowichan Bay Seafood – Sockeye BBQ 11am-3pm
