Summer is winding down and soon the mountains will be ablaze with color welcoming fall ………..and then the season we wait all year for! Let’s hope for early snowfall & plenty of it! While many people take the summer off & enjoy other activities, NH clubs are still hard at work getting their trails in shape for the upcoming season. We at BRVSC are no exception-we are out on our trails all year long making sure that they will be up to the standards you have all come to know from us. Crews are still out brushing & doing other maintenance on our system and would appreciate any hours that you could volunteer to help them get this done. You can get more info by calling trailmaster Bob Smith at 603-536-9792. This year’s officers & directors are as follows: president Evelyn Ferrell, vice president John Bordeau, treasurer Rowell Ray, secretary Helen Ray, trailmaster Bob Smith……….directors are Victor Henry, Dick Hill, Ted Koberski, And Marie Hixson. We thank Marie for her years of service to our club as VP, and appreciate that she has stayed on as a director. Marie now sits on the executive board of NHSA as treasurer-congratulations & good luck in your new position Marie! It is time to renew your BRVSC membership if you have not already done so. You can send the enclosed form back or download one from our website & mail it in. Please write clearly, it is often times difficult to decipher what is written & we want to be sure to have your information correct. We have new maps for this season so be sure to pick one up when you visit the clubhouse. There will be a few reroutes so be sure to follow marked trails. We’ll have the clubhouse open on weekends as the snow conditions permit, and could use some help to keep it open all season. You can call 603-786-2388 & leave a message on the club phone & we’ll be sure to call you back. Remember that the clubhouse phone serves as our snow phone during winter hours and has a recorded message from the trailmaster as to current conditions. Monthly meetings will resume in September-always the second Saturday of the month at 7pm. We generally have a potluck supper preceding it at 6pm. The Grafton Co. Meetings will also start up again in September and they will be hosted at BRVSC. The meetings are on Wednesday nights directly following the NHSA director’s meeting on the third Tuesday of the month and begin at 7:30. These meetings are open to anyone & a good way to meet folks from neighboring clubs in our county. As the Grafton Co. director it is my duty to keep clubs informed of what’s happening at NHSA & the country as it relates to snowmobiling, and also to bring any concerns the clubs may have back to the association. Remember to check the website as the season gets closer for all club happenings and to ‘Like” us on facebook! *********THINK SNOW******** EVIE
