Sunbury Junior Regatta 2014 (from Siobhan & Kaye) - Please forward to anyone that may be interested particularly children from Sunbury aged between 7 and 15 years old. We have pleasure in enclosing the entry form (see link) for this year’s Sunbury Junior Regatta which will be held on Sunday 10th August on Rivermead Island. This year is our 82nd Sunbury Edith Topsfield Junior Regatta. Due to the success of the Sunbury Doubles last year we will once again run this event with partners decided by the Regatta Organisers, along with the usual fun events such as the Obstacle. The practice sessions will be held on Sunday mornings at 10.30am, at Rivermead Island from Sunday 6th July. These are provided free of charge for children entering the Regatta. Please can you return the entry forms to the address on the form or return to Siobhan or Kaye at the practice sessions by 30th July, together with the entry fee of £15 per child. Once the draw has been made, we regret that it will be too late to enter. On the day of the Junior Regatta, please can you register by 10.30 as we will aim to start racing by 10.45. We aim to hold the prize giving very shortly after the last race, which will be approximately 5.00pm or hopefully a little sooner. As you will appreciate, timing depends upon the number of entries and other factors. There will be hot drinks on sale this year as well as bacon rolls! If anyone would like to donate cakes, we would appreciate any contributions as we have to feed the St John Ambulance team. We very much value your support for the competitors and if you can stay to the end of the regatta as all competitors will receive a certificate.
