Sunday 13th April Round Up The first third of the league campaign is now complete as everyone has played their first round of matches against each other. Teams still have to play each other twice in the final 10 league games of the season so no team is yet out of the running for a title. P6 Premier Division DC United 0-2 A6Milan A6Milan made it 4 wins from 5 as they continue to pressure the Smurfs at the summit of the table. The DCs held on until the second half until goals from Bonar Maull and Alex Coles swung the tie in the favor of A6Milan. MOM Bonar Maull The Smurfs 5-0 Do Daka Chaka The first P6 El Classico of the season went the way of the Smurfs as they blew a full strength Do Daka Chaka out of the water as they led 4-0 at the break. Do Daka managed to stem the flow in the second half and could have reduced the deficit had it not been for the incredible goalkeeping of Rob Burton. Shaun Semmens (2) and Josh Harris (3) scored the Smurfs goals that keep them 3-points clear at the top. MOM Shaun Semmens TR7.5 0-1 Real Egloshayle Now the first of the 3-rounds of matches is complete it looks like serial title challengers TR7.5 could be stuck in a relegation battle following this defeat to an Egloshayle side who recorded their first points of the season. TR7.5 were without several stars and they looked like grabbing a point until Ben Dovers second half strike sealed the win for Egloshayle. MOM Ben Dover Division One Barn Door Blazers 1-1 Tekkerslavakia This draw does little to help either team. Chris Pratt opened the scoring with a bizarre slow motion lob which may or may not have been inside the area. P6s most controversial ref Danward Webb awarded the goal. It was all Blazer pressure in the second half but they had to wait until the 29th minute to level thanks to Tom Currahs 8th goal of the season. MOM Lewis Smurfs Res 5-1 Hurricanes 5 wins from 5 suggest the Smurfs will have another trophy in their cabinet at the end of the season. An understrength Canes side were no match for the division one galacticos. The Smurfs scorers were Josh Harris (2), Ross Fallens, James Wilson and an audacious shoulder to top corner effort from Shaun Semmens. MOM Shaun Semmens DC United Res 3-2 Men United The DCs continue their pursuit of the Smurfs at the top of the table after doing just about enough to see off the challenge of the bottom team Men United. Rikki Clarke scored a brace for the DCs to take his season tally to 10 as he leads the divisions scoring charts. Ben Lawrence scored the other DC goal with Mikey Hodgetts banging in both of Men Uniteds goals. MOM Rikki Clarke Division Two Inter Menan 0-1 Wadebridge Wanderers Wadebridge Wanderers keep the pressure on the top two after condemning Inter Menan to a second successive defeat. Lewis Knowlden scored the only goal of the game in the first half. Wadebridge GK Jez Baldwin then produced a string of fine saves to secure the 3-points. MOM Jez Baldwin Talskiddy Treacle Miners 3-1 Mount Wise Rebels The Rebels crashed to their fifth straight defeat in the league despite hitting the woodwork at least 3 times in the first half and seeing Talskiddys welding gloves wearing GK Andy Scott save pretty much everything thrown at him. Scott Taylor scored on the break twice in the first half as the Treacle Miners went into the break 2-0 up. Andy Scott produced several incredible saves including a worldy double save at the end, before finally being beaten by a good old fashioned toe punt from Ste Hunt in the final minute. With the Rebels throwing everyone forwards Taylor secured his hat-trick in the dying seconds once more catching the Rebels on the break. MOM Scott Taylor Barcaloner 0-5 DC United 3rds (W/O) The DCs stay top thanks to a walkover win against a Barcaloner side who couldnt make it over from Truro. Division Three Green Army 3-3 Hurricanes An understrength Hurricanes did just about enough to secure a point in this 6-goal thriller against Green Army. Dan Parsonage with a brace and Martin Nile scored for the Canes with Green Army replying with two goals from Dom Roberts and a strike from Josh Harrington. MOM Daniel Parsonage The Burnouts 2-1 NQY.PL The Burnouts remain unbeaten after seeing off the challenge of NQY.PL. This win sees them cut the Hurricanes lead at the top to just 2-points as we complete the first third of the season. Ben Neilsen scored both of the Burnouts goals in the first half. Artur Walkiewicz reduce the arrears in the last minute lashing home a penalty to take his tally to 3 for the season. MOM Ben Neilsen Untouchaballs 4-2 Fat Dads with Shin Pads The Untouchaballs started the game with 5 players AND Dave Hodgetts in goal. Ladbrokes had them at 50-1 to win the math at this point. Amazingly they managed to go 3-0 up with 5 players before help arrived. Josh Burt and Bonar Maull with a brace saw the Blls reach the break 3-0 up. Tony Cock added a 4th shortly after half-time before the Fat Dads staged a late revival with Dave Hodgetts scoring an own goal and Dan Mills finding the back of the Balls net. MOM Dave Hodgetts
