. Sunday 3rd November Belper Town Juniors Black Sox v Mickleover Sports Dynamos Under 11’s cup It was a cool and windy day for the cup fixture and uncharted ground for Mickleover on their debut appearance at Bemrose School pitches. Two players missing from the squad today as Ezza and Jono were on holiday. Handshakes and card checks done John tried to start the match with an extra man on the pitch a simple miscount we hope ;) From the off Dynamos were ready with Lewis having a shot pushed out for a corner in the first two minutes. Nothing came of the corner but Dynamos were certainly on their toes. Kierans run was cut short when he was clipped in the box the ref played advantage as he got to his feet but decided a penalty was to be awarded. Danny stepped up to take and coolly slotted it away 1-0 . A great ball from Charlie found Callum who put a low powerful drive into the bottom corner of the net 2-0. Dynamos were practically camped in Belpers box and at times it looked like a game of pinball with no one quite getting it over the line. An offside goal didn’t shake Dynamos Lewis put in a lovely cross to Tom who took aim at goal which was saved by a capable Belper keeper, however the rebound found George and Dynamos scored again 3-0. A Corner from Dynamos looked like it was going to be a solid header into the net but ended up being slotted away by an unfortunate Belper player 4-0. Nearing the end of the first half Belper finally made it into Mickleovers half but the threat was soon over when the ball was cleared by Lewis. Lewis produced what was probably the best goal of the game beating two players and smashing it into the top corner from outside the box 5-0. In the final minutes of the first half Jasper placed a great cross on Toms head it was saved but the rebound was put away by Tom 6-0 Half time. Dynamos began the second half fast Tom provided George with the right ball for a first minute goal 7-0 Kieran frustratingly hit the post from a Jasper cross. Jasper minutes later rounded the keeper but put the ball just wide. George followed suit and put a ball wide too, but redeemed himself with another goal minutes later from a Kieran cross Georges hat trick 8-0. Callum added another to his tally with a run up the wing and a top corner shot 9-0. Jasper got on the score sheet with a corker from outside the box and made it a brace with a chip over the keeper not long after 11-0. Despite the score Belper weren’t giving in. Tom repeated his pattern with a saved header and a rebound goal and got his hat trick with the next goal 13-0. Callum and Jasper also added a goal each giving them hat tricks also making it 15-0. Kieran put a cross in which took a deflection and added another og 16-0 We thought the game was over and even began to fill in the score sheet, but Lewis and Danny had other ideas adding one more each 18-0 final result. Noah and Rueben didn’t have much to do but were there when needed and put in strong performances despite the lack of action. Man of the match was George and Opposition player of the match for the third time was Callum. A solid Team performance 31 goals in the cup so far but no Belper teams left to play who’s next we wonder ?
