Sunday, 4th August THE GLORY OF HIS PRESENCE “And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.” (Exodus 33:15) Do you know that there are certain believers who still pray like this today? They tell the Lord that if He doesn’t go with them they wouldn’t go. Maybe they have an interview to attend or something. They get on their knees and ask the Lord to follow them to the interview center or they wouldn’t go. What am I saying then? Isn’t it important to have His presence with us everywhere we go? Shouldn’t we desire for Him to be with us in all our endeavors? After all, it was His presence with the children of Israel that made the difference in their lives. It was His presence in Joseph’s life that made him prosperous in all things. So why don’t we ask for that same presence today? The point is that today, we do not need to pray and ask for His presence like they did then, because in Christ His presence now indwells us. The presence of God for them at the time was something they experienced occasionally. Moses understood that presence a whole lot because he had been in that presence several times of his life. He knew that in that presence no one could successfully oppose him or his people. He knew that in that presence, they were champions for life. He therefore thought it would be a futile exercise doing anything or going anywhere without that touch of the supernatural. Beloved, the good news today is that the presence of the Lord came to reside in you when you received the Holy Spirit. He brought that very touch of the supernatural that Moses craved for to permanently reside in you and this is why it’s no use praying or fasting for that presence. You already have it so simply walk in its consciousness! Hallelujah! Prayer: Dear Lord I thank you for your divine presence that has come to reside in me. I thank you because by that presence, I have the touch of the supernatural in everything I do and get involved with. Whatsoever I do prospers because God is with me big time in Jesus mighty Name.
