Sunday August 17th *Flag Raising and Pride Week official launch* Dieppe City Hall 12:00pm Official Flag raising and Pride Week Launch. Cake will be served. Come watch this iconic act, as we raise the Pride Flag up the flagpole, something that a mere twenty years ago, we never even thought would be possible. *Softball with Pride* 2:30pm-5:00pm, Wheeler Field @ Université de Moncton Cost : Free Open to all, come have fun while playing Softball. Whether you have a team or not, well match you up in this friendly game of softball. If you want to participate, send us a private message on our FB page, or an email at fiertemonctonpride@gmail *Dinner with Pride* 6:00pm-8:00pm, Restaurant Le Petit Cavalier, Weldon St. Cost : 25$ per person, max : 50 tickets This year, the format is a bit different. We moved away from the sit-down dinner, in favor of a stand-up causerie-style socializing event with french canapés and finger foods, as well as a desert. The bar will of course be open for those of age who want a drink while meeting new faces, chatting with old friends, while having a good time. Tickets will be available starting July 14th either at the restaurant, or from any member of the committee. You may email or message the RoP page to make arrangements to get a ticket. Tickets are non-refundable starting August 1st. ----------------------------------- Monday August 18th *Bowling with Pride* 7:00pm-9:00pm, Champlain Bowlarama Dieppe Cost : Free Come bowl with us at the Bowlarama. Three prizes for the best Pride costumes! Food will be served too. ------------------------------------ Tuesday August 19th *Youth Night* 6:00pm-9:00pm, Youth Quest (St-George st.) Theme: PJ Movie Night Cost: Free Age: 13-18 years old Put your PJs on and come watch a movie! Cool rainbow prizes to be won! Bring your friends and make new ones! ------------------------------------- Wednesday August 20th *Education Night * 6:30pm-9:00pm, Casino (Monte Carlo Room) Cost : Free Theme : The ABCs of the LGBTTIQQ2SA Community Presentations concerning hot topics within the LGBTQ community. Always interesting, and you are guaranteed to learn something new! *Crazy Acadian Bingo* 7:00pm-10:00pm , Triangles Nightclub Cost : Age : 19+ Come play some crazy Bingo at our very own Triangles Nightclub. Prizes to win, fun, drinks, friends, what to ask more? Crazy acadian style decorations, youre encouraged to come dressed up in the acadian colors, or in a crazy way, (or both) haha. ------------------------------------- Thursday August 21st *Karaoke with Pride* 10:00pm-2:00am (Doors open at 8), Triangles Nightclub Cost : Free Age : 19+ Come sing and dance your heart out to the best in town! Many prizes throughout the night ranging from participation prizes, to best costume, best crowd pleaser. Come dressed (or almost not) in your show outfit, and come to this Pride Week tradition hosted by your very own Ryan Maynard! -------------------------------------- Friday August 22nd *Drag Show and White Party* 8:00pm-2:00am, (Doors open at 7:30pm) Triangles Nightclub Cost : 7$ admission Age : 19+ Come dance the night away with DJ Krysta Jay in the Booth! Black lights and white decors, so dress in white (or go crazy and buy fluorescent body paint) to make this an awesome night! Last years White Party was a hit, we had no choice other than to bring it back! Come early, come all! This promises to be a night to remember! (Or at least we hope youll remember it haha) Saturday August 23rd *Pride Parade* 1:00pm-2:00pm, starting at Highfield Square, walking to Bore View Park (next to the RCMP office) Cost : Free The Pride Parade is there to celebrate who we are in a fun and proud way. Members of the LGBTQ community, allies, friends, come walk with us, Light rain or shine (unless the weather is really horrible...) on Main street. Parade leaves Highfield Square at 1:00pm, try to be there for 12:30 so we can set everyone up. If you have a group, car, float youd like to put in the Parade, please send us a private message either on our FB page, or via email (fiertemonctonpride@gmail) letting us know what kind it is/how many people, to help us coordinate the lineup. Of course, anyone is welcome to participate in the Parade. So get those colors flashing, those heels tapping, those skirts dancing, and those instruments playing! ((Side note, we will be needing a few volunteers to help out with the parade, such as standing near the barricades along the parades route. if you are interested, send us a message with your coordinates!!) *Park Celebrations* 2:00pm-4:30pm, Bore View Park (next to the RCMP office) Cost : Free. there also will be a few vendors (food, others) on site. Following the Pride Parade, which ends at Bore View Park on Main street, well arrive to an afternoon filled with celebrations for the whole community, allies, families and friends to enjoy. A little different format than the previous years, there will be a small portion of entertainment, followed by time to socialize, visit the many kiosks which will be set up all over the park, maybe grab a snack, face painting and inflatable structure for kids, and much much more! This promises to be a really nice event for all to enjoy! If you or your business would like to have a kiosk at the Park to either showcase or sell Pride related products, food, or do presentations, handouts, education, or anything else you may think of, send us a private message on our FB page or by email (fiertemonctonpride@gmail) with the details of what you could bring and well let you know if it could be arranged! *Bloc Party* 6:30pm-10:30pm, St. Georges street between Lutz and Archibald (In front of Triangles) Cost : Free Age : Street - all, Beer Garden 19+ Following the huge success of the Bloc Party last year, were bringing it back! Were closing down the street in front of Triangles for the evening. Live entertainment by LGBTQ artists : Kendra Gale, Mel & Tina, Marc Eden. Something for everyone, going from blues to a jazzy atmosphere, a little pop-rock, finishing with a pop-electro vibe. Family friendly, come enjoy the outdoors while listening to some amazing artistic talent, and maybe grab a beer or two in the Beer Garden offered by Triangles. Yes, theyre extending their bar outside in a patio-like area for all to be able to enjoy the great music. There also will be food and refreshments available to the ones outside the beer garden. *Pride Party!* 10:30pm-2:00am, Triangles Nightclub. (The Beer Garden will stay open after the bloc party) Cost : free for the beer garden, 12$ to get into Triangles, part of the proceeds go to River of Pride. PRE-SALE FOR TICKETS STARTING ON JULY 3RD AT TRIANGLES NIGHTCLUB. get them early, 300 advanced tickets available. a FEW at the door the day of the event. Age : 19+ Following the great music from the Bloc Party, the Pride Party will take place at Triangles. Come show your pride in your best craziest outfit for the biggest night of the whole year at our very own club! If clubbing is not for you, our beer garden outside is perfect to socialize with friends while having a drink and enjoying the weather.
