Sunday, I was out front, watering plants with Imani sitting nearby in the grass. A large dog ran right past us, then came back toward us. Imani, who has a lot of trouble getting to her feet, jumped up & stood between the dog & me, teeth bared & growling. They faced off for about 3 seconds & the dog went after her---Imani was all in. I grabbed the dog by the choker collar & she turned around to bite me, Imani still getting her shots in. I grabbed the dog by 2 handsful of scruff & lifted her off her feet. The owner finally showed up & we both dragged the dog toward the street, away from Imani. My old girl had spit on her fur but not a single bruise or bite. The other dog had a couple of small cuts on her head/neck. While the neighbors and I carried on about the experience, Imani found a shady spot & sat back down to relax. NBD for Imani---a dog comes running up, Im jumping in & protecting my family, I will kill or be killed but Im jumping in. #bestdogever #peach
