Sunday, July 14, 2013 PTA Bank Vacancies July 2013 MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION CONSULTANT Job Summary: The Media and Communication Consultant will be fully involved in the rebranding project to reposition PTA Bank, provide support with building internal capacity for implementing rebrand efforts through various public relations and communication initiatives. The Consultant is expected to engage with key contacts in government and business,position the Bank in various forums and media engagements, and coach team members on media relations and management. Job Specifications: Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in economics, political studies, international development studies or other relevant specialization. A master’s degree in business (MBA) is an added advantage; A minimum of 8-10 years of post-qualification experience in public relations and journalismwith hands on experience in corporate communications and strategy with particular focus on business and financial areas; Significant international experience working with governments, development finance institutions and private sector business entities across multiple industry sectors; Proven track record in media relations and management; Results oriented individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural setting. The incumbent is expected to support the organization with building internal capacity for member mobilization and stakeholder management Job Specifications: Master’s degree in International Development, Marketing, Communication, Fundraising, Business Administration; A minimum of 8 - 10 years of progressively senior and diversified working experience working with governments, private sector business entities and development finance institutions; prior experience of working with governments of potential member states is an added advantage ; Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing business development strategies, public relations and diplomacy, stakeholder management with proven track record in campaigning and/or advocacy in multiple geographies across the African continent; Strong client orientation with excellent relationship management skills; Excellent verbal and writing skills with fluency in English and French, knowledge of other languages is an added advantage.
