Sunday March 2, 2014 Preacher: Pr Christian M Conquering The Kingdom Of God Living a Christian life is not as hard as many people picture it to be. All that is needed is just a clear understanding of the foundations of the kingdom of God in order to have a successful life. The truth is that aligning ourselves to the will of God is always the hardest part. Any believer that can manage to single out and maintain a dominion over each of the below four areas of his/her life can be guaranteed to experience a smooth journey on the road to heaven: 1. Singleness of heart: The Bible says that where your treasure is, there your heart will also be. What is your heart attached to? What is it that fills your heart with joy? Jesus asks of us to seek first and foremost Gods kingdom and righteousness and all other things will be given to us. 2. Singleness of vision: King David, the man after Gods own heart would always ask God to seek the intentions of his heart. Teach me your way, Lord, so that I can walk in your truth. Make my heart focused on honouring your name says Psalm 86:11. You need to constantly introspect yourself, questioning your motives and only seeking to be pure in the eyes of the Lord. Do not let the light in you become darkness. Keep your spiritual eyes alert at all times. Choose to see love, goodness, endless opportunities and life wherever you go and whatever you touch. Remember to keep your pride under lock and key. 3. Singleness of devotion: why is it that a couple can be living the perfect love story today and completely detached from one another a couple years down the road? Is it that the other person has changed? Or maybe its just the value one sees in the other that has decreased? Options create competition and competition gives birth to confusion. The Bible says that no servant can serve two masters at the same time. He will hate one and love the other. You know it’s easy to love more than one thing. But what are you devoted to? Money? Hobbies? Here is a simple priority order to base your life upon: 1.God 2.Spouse 3.Children 4.Church. 4. Singleness of thought: adopt a thinking mode that places God at the center of everything. You have a multitude of promises made to you in the Bible. Start confessing them over your life. Call upon the name of Jesus when storms arise in your life and do not worry: It only serves to weaken you and make you vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. Singleness of thought is having a firm assurance that God will provide for you regardless of your circumstances. You used to be on fire for God but it died away over time. The multiple options that life has to offer have cooled down your first love for Him. Give yourself away to God with an undivided heart. Be content with what you have and what you are and you shall live a victorious life in Christ Readings: Mathieu 6:33 Mathieu 6:19-21 Mathieu 6:22-23 Luc 16:13 Mathieu 6:25-32 Mathieu 6:34 #crosspointe #kingdomofGod #victory #Jesus #sundayteachings #spiritual #haeven
