Sunday, March 9 Matthew 1:18-21 THE SON OF DAVID ...Joseph son of David…. Matthew 1:20, NIV David was a man after God’s heart. What accorded him that honour was the way he lived his life while on earth. He sought God with all his heart and God made an everlasting covenant with Him. Interestingly, even both Jesus and His earthly father, Joseph, were called by the name of David. Beloved, whose child are you? Can we trace your genealogy to Christ? Do you carry a life that God can refer men to? Can people be happy to be identified with you? Will generation after you be called by Jesus’ name. However, when we live contrarily, He is not happy to associate with us. Joseph proved that he was a true son of David by obeying every instruction of God through the angel. So, the only way you can prove to Jesus that you are not a bastard is to live for Him.
