Sunday, Nov. 9th - A trace up to 1/2 inch of snow could be on the ground by tomorrow morning, but the heaviest snow will fall late morning into midday and then again Monday evening. The snowfall forecast below is what one model is predicting through noon on Tuesday. Right now it looks like Eau Claire and surrounding areas could see 6-12 inches, but a heavy band to our north could drop 10-18 inches from St. Croix Falls to Rice Lake to Ladysmith . Rain, sleet and freezing rain could mix in with the snow south of I94, cutting down on some of those amounts. A WINTER STORM WARNING will go into effect at 6 a.m. Monday and stay in effect through noon on Tuesday. It will expire at 6 p.m. Tuesday for Buffalo, Trempealeau and Jackson counties. Behind the snow, bitter cold! High temperatures will be 15-20 degrees below average all week. You can stay up to date on the forecast at wqow/weather.
