Sunday November 30,2014 SURVIVAL OF PF DEPENDS ON OUTCOME OF INDABA ACTING President Guy Scott should admit that his preferred candidate for the January presidential election sponsored by the cartel has been rejected and must not use his anger to cause anarchy and despondency in the country, says civil rights activist Brebner Changala. He said Dr scott should understand that the survival of the Patriotic Front (PF) will depend on the outcome of its general conference currently going on at Mulungushi Rock of Authority. Mr Changala said Dr Scott should not cause confusion in the Patriotic Front (PF) by frustrating the commencement of the general conference where the ruling party is expected to elect its president who would be the candidate for the presidential election. He told the Sunday Nation that it was time Dr Scott realized that the cartel holding him hostage had lost influence in the politics of the country and that Zambians would never allow them to be part of the governance system of the country. He stated that it was unacceptable for Dr Scott to have declared the delegates to the general conference fake when he was solely responsible for the organisation of the conference. Mr Changala said Dr Scott had become an embarrassment and a danger to the country and should therefore be stopped from participating in the country’s politics. “Dr Scott must accept that his preferred candidate sponsored by the cartel has been embarrassingly rejected. And the cartel has no more influence in the political and governance system of the country. Zambians will never again allow the cartel to have control on institutions of governance and the PF general conference should ensure the cartel is crushed by electing a candidate that would restore confidence among citizens,”he said. Mr Changala warned that the dictatorial tendencies and traits Dr Scott was exhibiting would consume him because it had become clear that the Acting President was abusing state powers.
