Sunday Preaching (September 9, 2013) Empowering Christians 14 When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” 17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” 18 Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” 20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:14-21 • What is the work? • Who are the workers? • Who is the worker’s source of power? 1. Our work today is to heal people. 16 . . . I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.” Matthew 17:16 Marami ang may mga sakit na espirituwal sa panahn natin ngayon. Hindi natin sila mapagaling dahil hindi tayo ganap na nananalig kay Hesus. Kailangan ang pananalig (Hebreo 11:1) upang maging daluyan tayo ng kagalingan ng iba. (Hebreo 11:6) 2. Workers are Christians today. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” Matthew 17:19 Tayong mga Kristiyano ang inutusan at hindi ang iba. Sa panahon natin ngayon, ang pinakamasigasig na nagdadala ng salita ng diyos ay karaniwang hindi si Kristo ang ipinapahayag. Kailangang TAYO ang pinakamasipag sa pagpapalaganap ng TUNAY NA EBANGHELYO ni KRISTO. 3. Matthew 17:18 Hindi tinitignan ng Diyos kung ano ang kalagayan mo sa pagpapahayag ng Salita ng Diyos. WALA SA TALINO, ITSURA, YAMAN, KAPANGYARIHAN. (1 Cor. 1:26-27) Ito ay sa pamamagintan ng buhay na binago at magandang asal na makapanghihikayat sa iba upang sila ay manampalataya din. TANGING SI HESUS ang pinangagalingan ng ating KAPANGYARIHAN!
