Sunday Road Ride Bt.18 Hulu Langat-Peres-Pertang-K.Klawang, Titi & back (140km) Date: 27th July 2014 Sunday Start/ End: Park along Jalan Ulu Langat Bt.18, near the Polis station GPS Coordinates: N03.164298 E101.847530 Google Map: “Pekan Baru Lapan belas” Please park completely off the tarmac & considerately. Please do NOT park in the apartment carpark as we have been getting complaints from residents. Your co-operation is very much appreciated. As much as possible, try to car pool as parking is at a premium. Hide your valuables away from prying eyes. Time: 7:30am (please be there 15minutes before start) Routes: Bt.18-Peres-Titi (1st R&R)-Pertang (2nd R&R & U-turn)-Titi (3rd R&R)-Peres-Bt.18. An adventure of climbs & fast descents. Newbies, sorry, this is not a ride for you. Ride Leader: Capt Chua (012-379 6830) How to get there: Take the Jln Cheras / Kajang highway. Take the first left after Batu 9 Cheras toll and make another left at police station and head towards Jln Hulu Langat (B52). Drive about 14.5km along this road and park near the Police station (on the left) when you hit Bt 18. Pain2arse notes: Roads are in good nick & vehicular traffic is low off Jln Ulu Langat. Do be careful on the fast down hills after cresting Peres. There is a fast sweeping right-hand corner which if taken too fast will see you bathing in the drain. Speeds past 70kmh are not unusual. There have been reports of landslides & pot holes near the orang asli houses from Peres down back to Bt 18, so be careful. Single-file riding is recommended. Please bring a a minimum of 2 bottles, electrolytes, min 1 spare tube, tire levers, hand pump, cash, hp, tulips & your helmet as well. A cramp relief spray is recommended. Make sure you hide anything of value in your car from prying eyes and park considerately. This is a self-support ride, so do come prepared & be self-sufficient If you invite a friend along; kindly be their Ride Buddy (yes, we have a buddy system too). Besides making it entirely enjoyable & motivating for the newbie, you are doing the Leader a big favor as he will have his hands full with the PCC flock.
