Animal Rights Academy (animalrightsacademy.org) will host a full day of workshops, led by various facilitators, at Wishing Well farm sanctuary about one hour drive north of Toronto. The keynote speakers are Harold Brown, star of the film Peaceable Kingdom, and internationally known AR activist, and well respected animal advocate Liz White of Animal Alliance. Anita Krajnc of Pig Save / Cow Save will lead a workshop in the afternoon. Its a full day of speakers and discussions with like-minded folks, a real community building exercise in a natural beautiful setting amid animal friends. There will be a morning session of workshops, from 10 am to 11:30 am, lunch, a plenary session, then an afternoon session of workshops, from approx. 2 to 3:30 pm. The topics will be wide-ranging, including animal rights ethics, emotional sustainability and how to do vegan outreach (including answers to common objections to veganism). A full list of speakers and workshops will be posted soon. Lunch will be potluck style (100% vegan please). There is a suggested $10 to $20 fee, 100% of which will go towards the Wishing Well sanctuary for the animals care. This is a sliding scale, so if you dont have money to spare, you wont be turned away. Students and unemployed no charge.
