Sunday Sermon #8 Lord, Is It I? This is one of the best sermons I have heard in a long time. Often times in our lives we get in the judgement business rather than in the self inspection business. It is easy to find the fault in others, and yet we ourselves are guilty of the same sins. We need to look at ourselves every day and make sure we are not missing the mote in our own eye, rather than focusing on the problems others may have. To often I hear and see the damage that is created by the unrighteous judgement of others. I know of no family in the church that does not have a challenge or a problem of one kind or another. When we heap upon others our judgement based on limited knowledge or the outward appearance, we fail to follow the Saviors teachings. We subject ourselves to the judgement of God when we impose our own limited yet selfish judgement of others. Our lives need to be centered around helping others, not criticizing others. We need to ask every day is it I, not is it them.... Let us be resolved today to make sure we spend more time cleaning our own house, less time trying to clean others houses, and put out the hand of love and fellowship so many in this world deserve and need.
