Sunday Sermon Notes: • Honor Your Mother Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.” _Ephesians 6:1-3 Mom is like Jesus: 1. Mom serves her family joyfully 2. Mom teaches her children right from wrong 3. Mom is full of forgiveness, mercy and compassion 4. Mom sacrifices her body for her children 5. Mom loves like no other • Equip the Next Generation (Apples of Gold, The Nest, Etc.) 3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God. _Titus 2 Do you know how I feel right now, and will feel until Christ’s life becomes visible in your lives?
