Sunday i went hiking at rocks state park. We hiked through woods. Up and down hills. Had to cross a small creek so i took my sneakers off and walked barefoot through the Creek. Then i went and sat on a big log waiting for barry and his kids to catch up. I think it was while i was sitting on the log i was bitten by a spider. I didnt notice it until monday morning. Its a huge red welt just above my ankle with a bite mark in the middle. Its itchy and burns and stings and the size of an egg. I have never seen anything like it. I am assuming its a spider bite. My ankle is even swelled. I would never think to worry about spiders while out hiking.
