Sunday morning Mom update: Grateful to God for the blessing of life, love and family. As the first Sunday of this new year takes form, memories of so many such days explode upon the canvas of my mind. Momma had always been a permanent fixture of whatever congregation she took communion with, actively participating on various boards and attending to the needs of her church. As the photo of her here announces her devotion to an idyllic sense of style, Momma has always been a portrait of good taste and intricate beauty. Her gregarious demeanor and magnanimous manner was a reflection of the spirit of Gods presence within, all the while seeking little in the way of attention or or praise, only concerned with the task of bringing herself out others closer to His favor. I sit with her now abd share in the watching of religious programming, seeing the delight of having finally gotten me to church. This morning, she is receptive and cheerful, talking with me about her faith and the way it has in fact, changed both of our lives. The reality of my witnessing an increase in her faith has invitingly augmented my own. Even in this shattered condition, she continues to remain devout, like the tree planted firmly in the soil of righteous purpose, delivering fresh buds of hope and stimulating the unfallen leaf to measure up to those that have tenderly completed the cycle, representing life love and family. Today she is in attendance of the sermon makers and as such, smiles while giving thanks to God, feeling and revealing love without boundaries.
