Sunday night Jordy update... Today was a little better than yesterday for Jordy. Hospital staff reported that he seemed a little more comfortable and less unsteady in his hind legs than yesterday. But he still cant support his weight on his hind legs and needs to be walked using a sling. The neurologist switched him to more powerful antibiotics and he is now on oral pain medications. Jordy is still on IV fluids because he hasnt been eating and drinking consistently (and hes wearing a cone so he wont chew on the IV line). I visited him this evening and although he was groggy from the pain meds, he was happy to see me and spent some time lying in my lap. Were just taking it one day at a time, waiting for the antibiotics to kick in while trying to keep him reasonably comfortable. I told him that lots of people were asking about him and praying for his recovery. (-Jill)
