Sunday reflections on Death When I die Immediately upon death my molecules will scatter but because I’ll be dead it won’t really matter. I have always believed in a time called “hereafter” - that period after death with no tears and no laughter. When arriving in “hereafter” you get one free pass, to get even with that special – pain in the ass. My list of potentials Is short - just five or six I won’t break the law - just one dirty trick. On the top of my list is a guy I once knew Who borrowed some money and then said “Screw You” The amount was significant, and the friendship was through, the mistake that I made affected things I now do. I’m sure not as trusting - I loan not a cent To him, I wish Karma and hope he’d repent. Money’s not the issue, it’s all about trust. When he laughed in my face, I got angry and cussed. I will probably do nothing maybe I’m blowing smoke. Yes, the money is gone but I’m surely not broke. All of this reflection has really set me free – it has made me realize I’m now mad at me. The time has arrived to tear up this list - as a trial judge would say, This case is dismissed.
