Sunday reports Sunday 28th September 2014 Premier Division Do Daka Chaka 2-3 The Smurfs Do Daka Chaka fans are starting to come to terms with the fact they are now out of the title race after this loss to the Smurfs. They now trail by 8 points with just 7 games left and just one match left vs the Smurfs. Joe Carhart gave the Smurfs the lead before a deflected Craig Harvey effort saw Do Daka draw level. Ross Fallens then gave the Smurfs a half-time 2-1 advantage. Joe Harvey scored to level the scores once more and keep Do Daka’s faint title hopes alive. Fallens then scored the winner not 30 seconds later with a thunderous drive to the top corner to keep the Smurfs 6-point cushion ov er second placed A6Milan. MOM Ross Fallens DC United 2-4 Badly Wrapped Kebab BWK drag themselves out of of the relegation zone thanks to a man of the match performance from their new striker Dan Woodgate. P6FC’s top scorer grabbed a brace with further strikes from Andy Smith and Karl Bennett doing enough to see off the challenge of the DC’s who now drop into the bottom 2. Martyn Probert, Ben Lawrence and Ben Verrinder all replied for the DC’s. MOM Dan Woodgate. A6Milan 2-1 NQY.PL A6Milan managed to sneak a win against a battling NQY.PL team who were without the divisions best GK Artur Walkiewicz who had injured himself earlier and their top scorer Bartek Stoppel. Alex Coles with his 10th goal of the season and Harrie Tilston with his first scored for A6 with Artur Domogala replying for NQY.PL. The margin of the victory could have been greater had it not been for the NQY.PL woodwork denying A6 about 7 times. NQY.PL fans could also argue they could have had something from the game had it not been for an outstanding performance in the A6Milan goal from stand in goalie James Lee. A. 6 Milan remain 6-points adrift of the Smurfs. MOM James Lee. Division One TR7.5 1-0 Barn Door Blazers TR7.5 make it back to back to wins since returning to P6 to stay within touching distance of top spot. The match report for the game once more is provided by the BDB Daily Sport. TR7.5 came flying out of the blocks with an early goal making BDB goal machine tom currah wonder if he had backed the wrong horse. But after some initial worrying moments BDB got organised and managed to absorb the constant attacks. Having not covered himself in glory in the first nights match Ben Harding in the BDB goal decided to wake up and managed to pull of some excellent saves and good sweeping at the back to bring confidence back and in the end a loss but still well played. It looks like TR7.5 are going to be a very hard team this season as the team looks very strong in all departments (except goal as Herman was in nets!!) with some mesmerising breaks and attacking football. MOTM Ben Harding Talskiddy Treacle Miners 2-4 DC United Res The DC’s remain in second place after this win against Tom Van Gaal McCormicks misfiring Treacle Miners. Goals from Ben Lawrence, Ben Verrinder, Martyn Probert and Rikki Clarke saw the DC’s close the gap at the top of the table to just 3-points after the Smurfs surprise defeat to Egloshayle. Despite the return of the boy Taylor for the Miners it was that guy John Van Der Middleditch and his horrendously viscous shot that found the back of the net twice for the Miners. He is some boy. MOM Ben Verrinder Real Egloshayle 4-1 The Smurfs Fresh from their premier division title 6-pointer, the Smurfs seemed to take their foot off the gas against Egloshayle. Just like several meetings between these teams before, Egloshayle had the better of the opening exchanges only for the Smurfs to take the lead as Ross Fallens fired past Sam Brown. Egloshayle usually roll over and get hammered, but tonight they showed more steel and some class finishing as a hat-trick from Jamie Leigh and a strike from Fran Riddle left the divisions leaders the Smurfs shell shocked. The Smurfs lead at the top of the division is now just 3-points with the DC’s, BDB and TR7.5 still in striking distance. Despite the win Egloshayle remain 3-points from safety in the drop zone. MOM Jamie Leigh. Division Two DC United 3rds 4-1 The Burnouts The DC’s remain the only team in the league with a 100% record after beating second placed Burnouts 4-1 to move 11 points clear with just 7 games left to play. Rikki Clarke scored two with further strikes from Ben Lawrence and Ben Verrinder winning the game for the DC’s. Tough tackling Andy Smith somehow found himself on the edge of the DC box to cooly pull a goal back for the Burnouts who remain second. MOM Rikki Clarke Badly Wrapped Kebab Res 5-0 KT6 Badly Wrapped Kebab remain in the title race as much as being 12 points behind with 7 to play can be keeping you in the title race? Despite missing Ridd, Reddock and Harper the remainder of the squad including P6FC hitman Dan ‘Woogie’ Woodgate went on a rampage against Kier Tamblins KT6. Woodgate scored a hat-trick with Trewyn Clatworthy and beer drinking Ryan Parker completing the scoring. MOM Dan Woodgate Barcaloner 3-1 Wadebridge Wanderers Barcaloner didn’t have the services of their GK Shaun so player manager Paul Noonan stepped into nets. It was an inspired choice as he saved literally everything thrown at him as Barcaloner made it back to back wins to move out of the bottom two. Giles bagged a brace for barca with Kieran scoring their other goal as wadebridge managed to find the net once through Jamie Leigh such was the magnitude of Noonans performance in goal. Wadebridge drop into the bottom 2 as a result of this defeat. MOM Paul Noonan Division Three Inter Menan 1-0 Barn Door Blazers Res The Blazers started the day top of the table and are fortunate to remain their after this defeat as the chasing pack also lost their matches. Menans second win on the bounce and they are still bottom of the league. Amazing. Match report once more provided by the Sports section of Barn Door MILFs Monthly. How are Inter Menan bottom of the league!! An excellent early goal and some amazing goalkeeping gave them a well deserved win over top of the league BarnDoor. BDB struggled to break down a well organised Inter team as what chances were made were well saved by inter keeper. shots from tom and a amazing volley from lewis were well saved. Barndoor may also regret allowing a late transfer of star defender sean abran to Fat dads and not have a sub to change tactics. MOTM Scott Tummon for numerous saves!! AFC Blitz 2-1 Fat Dads with Shin Pads AFC Blitz keep alive a faint hope of remaining in the title race after defeating the Fat Dads. Blitz are now 7-points adrift of the Blazers with 7 games to play thanks to strikes from Dom Roberts and Ben Neilsen. Fat Dad’s first half goalie Mike Appleby pulled a goal back but it was to little too late as they fail to close the gap on the top 2. MOM Ben Neilsen Mount Wise Rebels 2-0 NQY.PL Res NQY.PL Res were almost back to full strength bar the missing goal machine Bartek Stoppel. They had a chance to go back to the top of the table but ran into a Rebels team inspired by their bogan midfield general Lawrence. NQY.PL got off to the worst start when their record signing from Latvia conceded a penalty which Lawrence stroked home. Lawrence then scored a beast of a second to make the points safe and prevent the Rebels from dropping to the foot of the table after Inter Menans earlier win. MOM Lawrence.
