Sunday was an awesome day. First, I was asked to make a presentation to my former church about the serious, longstanding issues there that ultimately led to my departure. It was a liberating moment that allowed me to share the truth in love to many members who have long been in the dark and oppressed by a very vocal minority. I continue to pray that true repentance and revival takes place there. Before I made my heartfelt plea, God allowed me to hear an awesome prophetic message from Onae Chatman title An Autopsy of a Lukewarm Chruch (Revelation 3:14-20). I remain amazed by how the Lord in His mercy sends prophetic warnings to His people, giving us time to turn from our wicked ways. Though we are unfaithful, God is slow to anger. I pray that they who have an ear hear what the Spirit is saying. Later I had the pleasure of interviewing Mayor Tony Yarber and Council President DeKeither Stamps. Their discussions on the City and planned progress was inspiring. I pray that the wonderful things the Mayor and City Council are attempting to do for the good of the City will come to pass, in spite of the attempts to abort Jacksons greater. My prayer this morning is that God will send a true revival to our City. Im convinced more than ever that if Gods people, who are called by His name, would humble ourselves and pray, and turn from our wicked ways, THEN the Lord will hear from heaven and heal the land. And, Lord, we sure need a healing.
