Sundays club road ride report Sam was joined by Garry, Chris, Kev and Averal on what was a lovely day for a ride to the pines and back. We headed off towards Witham st Hughs and all the back roads towards Newark, Averal turned off as she was doing 35 miles and just came for the start of the ride. As we got onto the Ollerton road the hills started and in yesterdays heat it made them so much more fun and sweaty, we all coped with the hills okay and made it to Shearwood pines caff for a well deserved drink and spot of lunch. We set off back to Lincoln with the sun still shining but unfortunately with a head and cross wind depending on which way we were facing, The hill out of Tuxford was one we were all not looking forward to but we all went for it and Sam though he got a rarely good time up there only to find out latter that he is still faster on his Langster single speed up there. We pressed back on to Lincoln and home with the head wind making it just that little bit harder. 67 miles latter and an average speed of 16.8 MPH we were all rather worn out but enjoyed the ride, think we are all sporting a lovely cyclist tan after yesterday though Thank you to every one that joined me and hope to see you om the next ride which are a Lincoln road ride Wednesday evening, Lincoln XC loop on Friday evening and Swinley forest on Sunday.
