However, I have lived in places where winter was a harsh time of snow, ice, and bitterly cold winds. Still, the winter brought its own beauty; and, warm blankets, hot drinks, and crackling fires all brought comfort. Some very pleasant things were possible because of winter; moreover, winter contributed to new blessings that would be experienced in Spring. And in any case, even when winter was challenging, we persevered. The dark, cold days of winter brought blessings and lessons. Whenever we are experiencing any sort of winter in our lives, we can remember that there are still blessings to be had. positive prayer: Beyond pain there is peace. Beyond hurt there is healing. Beyond winter there is spring; and so it is that I choose at all times to see and seize Life’s blessings.
