Suntai makes his first televised speech, swears in SSG,COS For the first time since he returned from his medical leave, Taraba State Governor addressed the indigenes of the state via a televised state broadcast in which he thanked the people for their prayers that facilitated his recovery. Aside the state broadcast which was aired on the state owned television, the state governor met behind closed doors with the members of the State House of Assembly. Governor Suntai in the televised broadcast congratulated Tarabans on the 22nd anniversary of the state since it was created. He urged the people to live and in peace and work towards the promotion of development. The governor swore in the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Barr. GT Kataps and the new Chief of Staff, Mallam Aminu Jika urging them to work in the interest of the people. The leadership of the House of Assembly also met with the governor . The Speaker Haruna Tsokwa was not present for comments, but Suntai’s Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Hassan Mijinyawa said the Speaker said their conversation with Suntai was cordial and friendly. Tsokwa had on Monday alleged that the House leaders were prevented from seen the governor.
