Super B Update: yesterday B had a cystogram (basically, a fancy X-ray to make sure his bladder empties like it should & theres no urine going back into it when he urinates.) His cystogram showed he had a small amount of reflux back into the bladder but nothing major...he will be on low dose antibiotics for awhile to prevent UTIs (which could eventually lead to kidney issues, with him only having one we want to make sure we protect it well!) and will be followed by a urologist here in Birmingham for awhile, just to monitor. The urologist told us his hypospadis was minor & would be a simple same day surgery to correct when he is about a year old. He has been having issues with bottle feeding...we werent making progress on the amount he was taking by bottle & he seemed very disinterested in it, almost like he didnt like the taste of the formula...the surgeon agreed to let us try skimmed breast milk (the fats that would be harmful to him have been removed from it) tonight & at 7 he drank 38ml (almost 1.25 ounces!) & he seemed to enjoy it more!!! We are so proud of our angel & hope he continues to take his bottle like he did tonight!! One step at a time!! Thank you so much to you all!! đź’š
