Super Bowl XLVIII (48) is coming to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, February 2, 2014. New York City and the NFL will host several events during the week leading up to the game, including “Super Bowl Boulevard” in Times Square from January 26-February 2, 2014. This free, outdoor, interactive, football-themed experience will take place from NOON–10PM, on Broadway between 34th and 47th Streets. Members should note the following: Broadway will be CLOSED to vehicular traffic from 34th Street to 47th Streets. All CROSS streets to remain OPEN for vehicular traffic with the exception of 41st Street (from 6th to 7th Avenues) which will be closed from 9AM-12AM. BROADWAY, OFF-BROADWAY & TKTS are OPEN FOR BUSINESS. This includes Equity’s NY offices and Audition Center, 14th FL Actors Federal Credit Union and all area shops, services, restaurants etc. Note: Broadway Week 2014 (2-for-1 promotional ticket offers) will run January 21-February 6. PLEASE ALLOW EXTRA TRAVEL TIME TO/FROM YOUR THEATER, AUDITION SPACES and the EQUITY BUILDING. Members should check directly with their employers & company managers regarding performance schedule changes and any other concerns that may impact travel to and from the area. As a reminder, the entrance to the NY Equity building is temporarily located on 7th Avenue next to McDonald’s (between 46th & 47th Streets) inside the Times Square Visitor Center.
