Super-Productive Female Entrepreneurs verses the Super-Busy Female Entrepreneur Welcome to Women-preneur Wednesdays! Now I do not want my brothers to be discouraged here as I know we are all well rounded and diverse enough to embrace the information and walk away from the table gaining something that we may not have had before. And with that said, I love our women and acknowledge their struggles. So I felt that we could dedicate one day to them. Yesterday, via my fan page and during my coaching call the topic surrounded Time Management. With both audiences a strong theme “the difference between being busy and being productive” was highlighted. Suprisingly, it is not always obvious that effective time management is intertwined with self-management. How can we manage a business when we (as individuals) and/or our lives are out of order? If you missed the call, then don’t worry. Self-management is a recurring theme and will be discussed later. However, I encourage you not to miss next week’s call when we will talk about turning your Social Media Network into Net-Worth. Are you busy or are you productive? Now…here are some super tips for our super productive women-preneurs. By following these few suggestions will allow you to decipher when you are busy and when you are productive: 1. Focus A huge time drain for many women business owners is lack of focus. Many women are already managing a household, perhaps an additional job and a family. So when you manage to free up some precious time in your over-busy schedule to work on your business, you have no idea where to start. Youre faced with a to-do list (or lists) so long and so full of huge jobs that youre paralyzed into inaction. Needless to say, this is not a means to being productive. Instead, you need to make your to-do list more manageable and less terrifying and you can do this by breaking every huge job down into bite-sized chunks. I suggest to my BSmarters to list “6 things that are most important to accomplish each day” and ideally bringing you forward to accomplishing your goals and dreams. You may not accomplish all six in a day. However, the things accomplished move towards the forefront of the list ultimately making the to-do tasks, the to- dones! 2. Direction Getting by day-to-day is all very well but youll be much more productive and much more motivated if you know where youre going. When I work with my clients I get them to create a business vision that shows what they want their business and life to look like. I ask them to consider how much money they want to be earning, how many hours they would like to be working and what they will do with their time off. So Im challenging you to do the same. What does success look like to you? You can either tear up magazines and create a vision montage on a sheet of paper or use Pinterest. It is very important to create a sensory connection to what it is that defines your success. You want to see it, hear it, touch it, taste it and smell it. 3. Confidence Confidence, or the lack of, will murder your potential and productivity. Ive seen so many women business owners and female entrepreneurs who have let lack of confidence rule their lives and break their business, goals, ideas and visions. Lack of confidence makes people yes to things that are not in their best interest. Lack of confidence is characterized by a mind cluttered with heard words or thoughts saying “youre not good enough, youre not smart enough, and no one will pay those prices” or even “youre a bad mother/homemaker.” But you have to remember that you are better than you think, simply because you are reading this information. You have goals, dreams and visions so when the negativity flows… get out your vision board or tangible item and handle haters, self-doubts and self-convictions immediately. The list here is endless. We work smarter not harder, learn to think like business owners, develop relationships with positive and like-minded people (people who have similar goals and visions). At BSmart Holistic Entrepreneur Coaching, we can help you to strengthen your mindest and external position to accomplish these things and much, much more. Inbox me today for an assessment. And don’t forget, it’s time to “BSmart” about everything you do.
