Super laid-back, open-minded, social, and adventurous 26 year old gay guy looking for a room for November 1. I am also open to apartment hunting with others trying to navigate this messy bay area rental market. I am originally from the New York area and previously lived Providence, Rhode Island before coming to the Bay Area in June. I used to work in the alternative energy industry (solar and electric cars) but recently went back to school to study historic preservation. I currently work as a carpenter for a high end construction company and do some furniture design on the side (want to build something?). I don’t feel that I fit any particular mold so I am opposed to monolithic households, i.e., people who are only yoga instructors, or only eat kale, or all work in tech (this seems to be 9 out of 10 craigslist ads). I would like to be part of a household with other positive, optimistic, and honest people with a good sense of humor. I personally enjoy cooking, spending time outdoors, and exploring the area. I am interested in politics, nature, art, and music. I am by no means a partier but would enjoy the occasional mutually agreed upon social gathering. I am 420 friendly but respect if others are not. I am currently living in San Francisco but would be willing to live in the city or the East Bay as my daily workplace is project specific. My ideal home would include a spacious kitchen, some kind of outdoor area, and some common space. I have tools that I must bring to work so parking availability in a safe area is also a priority for me. My personal max budget would be around $1000 per month. I have a good credit, references, and always pay rent on time.
