Superb Nwandu Do you think these are Ndigbo? See comments from one Ndi Igbno forum Superb Nwandu Igbo man again. At Ogoja, a Benin man died and as he was getting buried, they found out that he was a direct descendant of the great Oba of Bennin. That calls for burial with food items, cooking utensils and possibly human heads. Apart from the human heads, every thing a human could use was in the grave. The Housa man shouted; Aboki mana, why put food and utensils in a grave? He was told that the dead man is travelling a long after life distance and will need the food to do the journey. He placed 200,000.00 Naira in case he run out of food. The Yoruba man place 150,000.00 N also. As all were watching what an Igbo man was gonna do, he knelt down and collected the 350,00.00 in cash and placed a 2 million Naira check in the grave. He opined that since the dead man has to cross the state of Anambra and Delta to get to his destination, his chances of getting robbed or kidnapped with that much cash is great. He told the dead man to cash his check when he gets to his destination. He in addition grabbed the live goats and sheep plus all the chicken and claimed that they will be making too much noise for the dead man to silently get through those states. Every one saw that to be a brilliant move but later on, they found out that it was another Igbo man sense and what do you think happened to the check issued to the dead man. It was no good to start with but how did a dead man find that out? He never came back to life to tell IGBO MAN IGBO MAN IGBO MAN Like · · Share · 21 hours ago 2 people like this. . Why must we paint ourselves more black that we are already. When you call yourself thief what do you expect another person to call you? This is insulting to Igbo race, we are not bunch of money controlled human beings, Igbo man has integrity, he is merciful, he is just, he is considerate and he is not a natural kleptomania. 13 hours ago · Like · 2 .. Dominic-savior Chibuzo Chukwu Amaechi Andrew I dont know your level of education, there is difference between understanding a story literally and understanding it from the meaning it conveys, If you know about essays and stories, they have something called moral lessons. Every story whether real or unreal have some messages it is sending out. I am not stupid to believe that this event happened for real, but i am talking about the message that the story send out to the readers, the moral lesson behind the story. If an intelligent person begin to pieces this story to tell you the deep meaning it carries, you wouldnt be proud of it. The moral of the story doesnt make you wise, it makes you a cheater, one who can take advantage of others. Taking advantage of an ignorant person is not an act of wisdom, it is simply fraud and cheat. 9 hours ago · Like · 1 .. Amaechi Andrew Okay I hear you sir. Hpi sunday. 9 hours ago · Like · 1 .. Frank Ajufo In thinking that you posing the Igbos in the light of wise people to make others envious of them, you end up tarnishing our image. Its high time we started showing the honesty in us for the world to see. No group of people are without their bad sides. We also have our flaws, but lets stop exaggerating this aspect of us, please. 8 hours ago · Like · 1 .. Superb Nwandu Oh well, I am sorry if my post tarnishes anyone as an Igboman. Mind you that this Igbo man did not steal from the living but rather from a dead man, if you consider such stealing. One must be a fool to even place food ad money in a dead mans grave while some of the living are starving. Igbo man to the rescue is the theme here 4 hours ago · Like .. Dominic-savior Chibuzo Chukwu Sir next time find something good about us to make your stories. We are not claiming to be angels but its not good we call ourselves what will make us to fight when others call us same. Stealing from the living is bad but stealing from the dead is even abomination in Igbo tradition. Our culture respect the dead. 4 hours ago · Edited · Like · 1 .. Superb Nwandu #@Dominic, you are the only Igbo man that is complaining of the craftiness of an Igbo man. We should question your genetic make up to make sure your parent didnt dip with a Yoruba man to bear you. You sound more like a Yoruba here than a wise Igbo. Igbo man is always wise in his ways and will let nothing go to waste. You dont have the humor to understand the joke but I m9ight have to decease from posting jokes in this for. w e have over educated Igbo/Yoruba intelect 4 hours ago · Like .. Dominic-savior Chibuzo Chukwu Your profile says you live in Canada, at least one thing you gonna agree with me is that they dont make caricature of themselves. I am surprised at your so called CRAFTINESS of the igbo man, I dont wanna sound negative towards you, but it is shame that you think your race is known for a particular bad thing. I have meet with people from so many parts of the world and I find out that they too have good and bad in them. I am of pure IGBO race, the Igbo race know for truth, for integrity, for fairness, for justice. I dont doubt you come from the Igbo race that rob the dead, that deceives, Igbo race that glories in bad things and call it wisdom. If that is what you tell your audience about the Igbos, then you are an enemy of our tribe. I am a lover of humor, and I am humorous but i am also intelligent to separate humor from insult. And no matter what I will never insult my race in words or in action. I am proud of my Igbo race, I will not exchange it for anything. My daily aspiration is to be that Igbo that will not fail into your category of craftiness. What you say about yourself help to raise bias, misconception and prejudices against you.
