The AAP MLA courted the BJP, asking to be accommodated in their fold after his resignation from the AAP. The BJP was voluntarily approached by a member of the AAP, so I dont see how this is any kind of poaching. As for the money, the AAP MLA asked for security, and asked for 5 crore rupees. Apparently, the poorest of simplest of most decent politicians need 5 crore rupees to feel secure while defecting. Surely, this is no big deal for the BJP, but they appear to settle for 4 Cr. rupees. During war, if an officer from the enemy camp voluntarily shows up at our military camp and wants to surrender, says he no longer wants to fight us, and asks for refuge, we would provide it. Politics is no different. This video could have been shot professionally, and covered live in broadcast quality. That is how little sensitive information there is to hide in it. The BJP never stood on any puritanical pedestal, saying they will be pure as a drop of dew on their lotus petal. Nobody voted for the BJP for any saints to sit around doing dharnas and organizing protests. The BJP, specifically Modi has been voted to move the nation ahead, and hes started fine. The AAP is famous for this cleaning nonsense. They have even chosen the broom as their symbol. So, even though one of their MLAs offered himself to the BJP, they refuse to see the defection attempt, and want to call this a sting to expose a natural reaction from the BJP. If this is an act, it is amateurish and desperate. Personally, it does nothing to alter my perception of either the BJP or the AAP, one of who is pretty irrelevant at the moment.
